Delsea Drive, Clayton, NJ 08312 Satellite Office: 115 Budd Blvd. (Office #ED-2), Woodbury, NJ 08096 New Hours and Location for the Visiting Tax Assessor The primary function of the Tax Assessor is to assess properties for taxing purposes. The assessor is the person to notify if you have a question about your assessment (not the taxes you pay, but the value assigned to the property that is taxed). If you make a taxable improvement to your property, the assessor will be out to appraise it for taxing purposes after a certificate of occupancy is issued. Contact the assessor about any changes or corrections to information on your tax bill. If you build a new house, the tax assessor will assign the address for 911 emergency purposes. The assessor will answer your questions regarding applications for deductions or exemptions from taxes, such as veteran’s deductions, senior citizen deductions, or farmland assessment applications. The assessor can provide you with copies of tax maps, and general information about taxation in the township. For a list of property owners to notify if you have a public hearing scheduled before the Joint Land Use Board, please send a completed 200' list request to: Ms. Diane Malloy, Registered Municipal Clerk The fee for the list is $10.00 per block. Submit a check, made payable to Harrison Township, for the correct amount with your request. Remember to submit your request in a timely fashion, as the Assessor’s office has 7 days to make and certify the list. Important Deadlines:
