SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEM INSTALLATIONS

The Harrison Township Committee has adopted ordinances regulating the installation of building mounted and ground mounted solar energy systems. Township residents should be aware of the regulations in the ordinances pertaining to the design, color and placement of solar systems to ensure that their planned system complies with the ordinances. Copies of the ordinances can be obtained from the Clerk’s office at 114 Bridgeton Pike, or downloaded from the following links:

Ordinance 44-2011 – Provides Standardized Requirements for Solar Energy Systems - adopted Sept. 19, 2011
Ordinance 15-2011 – Adds Solar Energy as a Permitted Uses in Zoning Districts
Ordinance 16-2011 – Adds Definitions for Solar and Wind Energy to the Zoning Ordinances
